Videos Overview
Tutorial 34 - Get That Sound - Redlight District 'Bass'
Using the Sylenth1 we show you how to create this thick saw bass sound made popular by Tomcraft & Jerome Isma-Ae’s song
Tutorial 35 - Get That Sound - Redlight District 'Pluck'
In the 2nd part of this section we pick out the pluck sound from the song and show you how to recreate this with ease.
Tutorial 36 - Get That Sound - Sasha 'Xpander' Sound
Kick starting the progressive house collection of videos, we show you how to get the spaced out lead sound from Sasha’s Xpander - one of the most popular progressive house tracks of all time.
Tutorial 37 - Selective Importing in Logic 9
In This tech tip, Chris Agnelli shows a hidden import tool, allowing you to import, regions, channel strips and auxs from other tracks.
Tutorial 38 - Multi Instrument Layers In Logic 9
Speed up your workflow with this tip on how to group several instruments together using the big scary environment.
Tutorial 39 - Capture Arpeggiator MIDI Data
In this tech tip we have a closer look at abletons Arpeggiator. We create a simple rhythm using the device, and then capture its output as Midi notes on 2nd Midi Track. Using this technique we can edit the old notes and create a brand new interesting and unique rhythm.
Tutorial 40 - Exporting Stems From Ableton Live
In this tech tip we take a finished song and get it ready for the mastering stage by grouping and exporting out the stems. Using this method leaves more room for maneuver when it comes to these final tweaks. This can also be used to bring across stems for use in another DAW, or to prepare your track to be remixed.
Tutorial 41 - Using Thor as an effect
In this Tech Tip we use Reason's Thor instrument as an effects unit to add massive filters and delay to a Dr. Rex drum loop. We also use the Spider Audio Splitter to layer the original drum loop on top of the dubbed out effects.
Tutorial 42 - Multiple sidechaining with Spider Audio Splitter
We take a techno track and use the Spider to split our kick signal and side chain both our bass and percussion sounds at the same time. A simple solution to the sometimes fiddly sidechaining issue.
Tutorial 43 - Swedish House Mafia "ONE" Kick Synth
You know the way SHM are awesome, well... we thought we would try to piggy back on their awesomness by showing you how we think they went about making some of the sounds on their epic track ONE.
Tutorial 44 - Swedish House Mafia "ONE" Riff 1
Getting this sound was hard to figure out but adds a nice edge... check it out!
Tutorial 45 - Swedish House Mafia "ONE" Main Riff
This sound is sooo epic and verging on ravey... loads of detune and reverb! LARGE!
